What Are Digital X-Rays?

Digital sensors replace chemical film — images appear on screen in under 3 seconds.

Instead of photographic film that requires chemical development, digital systems use electronic sensors (CCD or CMOS chips) or phosphor storage plates. When X-ray photons hit the sensor, an electrical signal is generated and converted into a digital image displayed on the clinician's monitor within 2–3 seconds. The image can then be magnified, contrast-adjusted, colour-mapped and shared electronically without any physical handling.

3D CBCT Imaging

Cone Beam Computed Tomography captures a 3D volumetric dataset of the jaws in a single 15-second rotation. The resulting image can be manipulated in any plane — axial, coronal, sagittal — and virtual implants can be placed on-screen to optimise position before a single incision is made.
